INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITY CHARACTERIZATION RELATIONSHIP TO PARTICIPATION IN MANGROVE FOREST MANAGEMENT

Mangrove forests as a potential natural resource have many benefits that make them managed and always utilized by the community. However, current condition of mangrove is very concerning has suffered damage, one causes which human activities activities. This study aims to find out relationship individual characteristics community participation in forest management. Respondents this were 35 people who members groups Margasari Village. The stages methods carried are: determination weight score using Likert scale method with questionnaire instruments; analysis spearman rank method. results showed actively utilization management can be seen conditions People are productive age carry job optimally. In addition, level activity 90% respondents educated last at high school level, shows mindset, absorption, knowledge related their quite good. concludes do not indicate close significant participation.
